Always use Secateur in Young Teas for training & Pruning purpose, it will provide safe, harmless & quick flushing after cut across.


Year - Training/Pruning   -  Yield/ha. 

0 Year - Planting (October/May/June) -   0 kg.

  •  Debuding at 24"(inch) every week,


1st Year - Cut Across (CA) at 14"      - 400 kgs.
  •  Centre Out(C.O) at 8" after 3 - 4 months or for producing more laterals in young tea down the terminal of plant to the earth with making bow curve and fix the top near root with a x-shaped wood.
  • C.O, Thumb pruning, Decentre (at or below 8").
  • Apply COC within 24 hours of CA.
  • Tipping at 24" 


2nd Year -    Unprune(UP)               - 1000 kgs.
  • Re- Centre Out(RCO) at 8",
  • Tipping at 24" .


3rd Year - First Frame Pruning      - 1500 kgs. 
                    (FFP) at 16",

  • Apply COC within 24 hours of FFP.
  • RCO & Cut Criss - Cross (X) branches,

  • Tipping at 26"


4th Year - Continue Plucking.          - 2200 kgs.

  • Raising by a leaf (Step Up) when table is full.


5th Year - Final Frame Forming    - 2500 kgs.                      Pruning (FFP) at 18"

  • Apply COC within 24 hours of FFP.

  • Tipping at 28" 



Thereafter follow the normal Pruning Cycle.
