  • Fungal Disease - Disease caused by fungi is  called fungal Disease. 


  • Type of Fungal Disease -

  • A) Primary - It is first fungal infection in plants.

  • B) Secondary - After primary infection it has come in effect and damage the plant.



  • Leaf Fungal Disease - This type of Fungus effected the leaves of plants


  • A) Primary Type -

  1. Blister Blight (Exobasidium Vexans)
  2. Black Rot(Corticium Thea & C. Invisum)



  • B) Secondary Type -

  1. Grey Blight
  2. Brown Blight
  3. Red Spot
  4. Black Spot



  • Control -

  1. Copper Hydroxide @ 500 gr./200 Litres water
  2. Carboxin (COC) @ 500 gr./ 200 litres water
  3. Hexaconazole @ 200 ml/200 Litres water



  • Stem Fungal Disease -This type of Fungus effected the Stem of plants.



  • 1. Primary Type -

  1. Dieback- Seed Decay(Fusarium Solani)



  • 2. Secondary Type -

  1. Red Rust (Cephaleuras Parasiticus)
  2. Poria Branch Canker
  3. Thorney Stem Blight



  • Control -

  1. Contof @ 200 ml/200 Litres water
  2. Carbendazin @ 200 ml/ 200 litres water
  3. Hexaconazole @ 200 ml/200 Litres water
  4. Trichoderma @ 1 litre/ 200 litres of water (It is Bio-control of plant fungal Pathogens)


  • Root Fungal Disease -This type of Fungus effected the Root of plants.


  • 1. Primary Type -

  1. Charcoal Stump rot
  2. Brown root rot (Fomes Lamaoensis)
  3. Red root rot (Poria Hypolateritia)
  4. Black root rot ( Rosellinia Arcuata)



  • 2. Secondary Type -

  1. Violet root rot
  2. Diplodia Disease



  • Control - from Soil Fumigants...

  1. Dichloroethane@ 8 ml/ hole(on 1 feet distance).
  2. Vapam @ 8 ml/ hole
  3. Telone @ 8 ml/ hole
  4. Lithium @ 1 kg /ha. with water.



  • Nursery Fungal Disease -This type of Fungal Disease found in nurseries.

  1. Damping Off (Pythium Species)
  2. Collor rot (Phomopsis Species)



  • Control -

  1. Copper Hydroxide @ 500 gr./200 Litres water
  2. Carboxin (COC) @ 500 gr./ 200 litres water
  3. Hexaconazole @ 200 ml/200 Litres water



  • Bacterial Disease - These type of disease caused bacteria or bacterial components.


  • 1. Bacterial canker(Xanthomonas gorlencovianum) - It causes sunken patches of dead bark and small holes in leaves. 


  • 2. Bacterial shoot blight (Pseudomonas Avellanae) - The bud of leaves shriveled and turned tan in color, and this spread from the shoot tip down the stem.


  • Control -

  1.  Emamectin Benzoate@ 80 gr./200 Litres water
  2.  Streptomycin/Tetramycine@ 500 ml 200 litres water
