 In Tea management measurement is a main key. During working in tea plantation it is very important to make a plan with measurement in field and apply it. we should kept a minimum 5 hectares area for a section in tea plantation.

Measurement for Area -

1 Hectare = 2.471 acres 

                    = 747.5 Nulls 

                    = 10000 square meter(meter²) 

                    = 107639 square foot 

                    = 15500031 square inch 

                    = 100000000(10⁸) square c.m.


1 Acre         = 0.405 ha.(Hectare)

                     = 302 Nulls

                     = 43560 square foot

                     = 6272640 square inch 

                     = 40469445 square c.m.


1 Null          = 144 (12' x 12') square foot


1 meter       = 3.28 foot

                     = 39.26 inches

                     = 100 c.m.


1 Feet          = 12 inches

                     = 30.48 c.m.

                     = 0.30 meter


1 inch          = 2.54 c.m.




Irrigation Water required ...


For 1 Hectare (1 inch water) = 254045 litres


Water in 1 cubic inch = 0.01639 litres




Temprature :- 


°C (degree centigrade/Celsius)  = (°F - 32) x 5/9


°F ( degree Fahrenheit) = °C x 9/5 +32


Difference between °C & ° F :-

Processing of Orthodox Tea Orthodox Tea - In the process we use rolling tables to roll the leaves and turn them into half opened leaves. These teas are best in brisk & fragrance but soft in liquor. Stages of manufacturing - 1. Plucking - The process in which pluck 1 bud with 2 small leaves from top of bushes, best if plucked only buds.  For Orthodox manufacturing we pluck leaves in early morning to avoid tiny black spots on Orthodox teas. 2.
