Weedicide

Chemicals sprayed over the fields to get rid of weeds are Weedicide.


  • Kind of Weedicide -


  • 1. Pre - Emergent - Weedicide chemicals apply before germination of weeds.

  1. Simazine @ 2 kgs/200 Litres water
  2. Diuron @ @1 litre/200 Litres water ( Apply only in 3 Years old sections)
  3. Oxyfluorfen @ 1 litre/200 Litres water
  4. Napropamide @ @ 1 litre/200 Litres water


  • 2. Post - Emergent - Weedicide chemicals apply after growing of weeds.


  • i) Contact Weedicide - Clean the weeds when come in contact.

  1. Paraquate (Gramoxone) @ 500 ml/200 Litres water 



  • ii) Translocated Weedicide -Weedicide move within the plant system, once they are taken up by the leaves, stems or roots. 

  1. Glyphosate @ 500 ml/200 Litres water 
  2. 2,4-D @ 300 ml/200 Litres water 
  3. Dalapon @ 300ml/200 Litres water
